The API 600 Wedge Gate Valve features an ASTM A351 CF8 stainless steel body for superior corrosion resistance. Cast Steel Gate Valves are designed and manufactured to achieve less than 100 ppm (parts per million) leakage of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Extensive laboratory testing, including both static and cycle tests, has been conducted to establish the critical design parameters required for low-emission sealing, particularly in the stem packing seal area and the bonnet gasket sealing area. An in-house testing procedure is periodically carried out to ensure that the valve consistently meets the 100 ppm VOC leakage standard before shipment, guaranteeing reliable performance and compliance with emission requirements.
