In welded bonnet designs, the bonnet is threaded into the body and torqued to a specified value, then strength-welded to the body, offering dual leakage protection through both threaded and welded joints. A fully guided wedge minimizes wear on seating surfaces, enhancing durability. Optional features include double packing, leak-off connections, live-loading, and a packing blowout mechanism for easy removal and replacement of packing materials.
