The maintenance-free compact cross seal with a double-lip profile ensures a reliable tight shutoff and can be adjusted without interrupting operation. A self-cleaning effect is achieved through flush-out corners in the body and a cutting edge beneath the gate. Solids and fibers are cut by the edge before the gate seals against the elastic seat. The gate guidance is interrupted along the stroke length, allowing dirt to be expelled. Bidirectional shutoff is provided by the lateral gate surfaces working in conjunction with the elastic seat integrated into the body. The chambered, pre-stressed seat enhances sealing performance, while the high-quality finish of the guide and sealing surfaces on both sides ensures long service life and consistent shutoff. Lateral guidance of the gate prevents flutter in either flow direction or during throttling.
